Happy Sunday, everyone!
I don't know how many of you have been following the installation of the suicide prevention net on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, but it has finally been completed. The project kicked off in 2014 but had faced all sorts of pushback claiming it affected the view, was too costly, etc. — I'm so happy to see that it's finally been completed (even while still under construction, the net was able to reduce the average number of suicides by more than half).
What's inspiring to me about this is that a dedicated group of advocates continued pushing this project forward — it demonstrates how a community can make change possible. ❤️
