Join the Clinical Supervision team for an informative session where we’ll explore the ins and outs of Mandatory Reporting. Whether you are new to the platform or looking to deepen your understanding, this session will help you confidently navigate these critical conversations.
Learn about the different types of abuse, neglect, and other situations that may arise during interactions. We’ll walk through multiple scenarios volunteers might encounter. A Q&A Session will follow the presentation. Have questions or concerns? This is your chance to get answers from experienced team members.

Community Compass Support Session

This is a designated space for trainees & newly graduated vCCs to log on for support. Our goal is to offer guidance for trainees who are feeling nervous about taking a conversation upon graduation, or any other training-related nerves that come up. We also want to hold space for new grads/existing vCCs who are feeling uneasy about taking conversations on the platform. This line of work can be really overwhelming, and we’re here for you!

Self-Care: Decompressing After the Conversation

Did you take a tough conversation on the Platform recently? Let’s come together to reflect on and discuss those challenging moments during and after the conversation. This session will focus on how to care for ourselves through these moments by acknowledging them, talking about ways to debrief, as well as ideas for developing self-care plans to support ourselves afterwards. We will also answer your pre-submitted questions about ways you can better prepare for and successfully decompress after a shift. Come join us!

February New Grad Forum

Are you a New Grad or new volunteer? If you are, we have an event for you! We want to invite you to get to know more about the roles of some of the people you’ll be working with on a daily basis- coaches and supervisors! RSVP to join our New Grad Forum event with Coaches Kelsey and Yomara. You’ll be able to get to know more about navigating the platform, ask the host any questions during a Q&A, express any concerns you may have as you prepare for your first shift or questions you have after your first few shifts, hear some tips from the coaches for your journey as a volunteer, become familiarized with the platform though a tour, and meet other new volunteers. Come sharpen your crisis intervention skills with us! Whether you’ve been a volunteer with Crisis Text Line for a few months or a few years, these collaborative sessions, recurring monthly, are designed to help you refresh practices around core training concepts. During the first hour of the interactive session we will revisit the fundamental components of our training—including opportunities to engage in dynamic activities alongside fellow volunteers. This will be followed by a 30 minute open Q & A where you will be able to ask 2 Supervisors pressing questions in an informal and supportive setting. Bring a notebook, something to write with, and your curiosity.
