BIPOC mental health awareness month recognizes Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and the mental health challenges they face. As part of our commitment to raising awareness of culturally-responsive mental health care, we proudly recognize BIPOC mental health advocates, including those within our volunteer community. Our volunteer Crisis Counselors are real changemakers—showing up with compassion, dedication, and empathy.
We want to take a moment to recognize the work of our incredible volunteer, Brittany Ostler, who has been selected as our BIPOC Changemaker! Brittany goes above and beyond, and shows up continuously for both texters and other vCCs. Read more about Brittany on our blog post here.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Brittany and all of our incredible volunteers for your meaningful contributions to our community and organization. Your dedication and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. ❤️
⭐️ Changemakers are active Crisis Text Line volunteers who take the initiative within their community by consistently supporting our texters and passionately advocating for mental health to make the world a better place each day.
