🎉 International Women's Day
The first International Women’s Day was held on March 19, 1911, with over 1 million participating worldwide. On March 8, 1975, the United Nations officially adopted International Women’s Day.
With today’s focus being Inspire Inclusion, let’s continue to empower and inspire women to live and pursue dreams without bias or barriers and work together to remove gender disparities. 🙌
Introducing our March Changemaker, Dr. Sujana Reddy ✨
We are lifting up mental health Changemakers who embody Crisis Text Line's core values: Connect with Empathy, Center Equity, Get it Done Together, and Reflect and Evolve.
We are thrilled to recognize @Sujana Reddy as our Changemaker for March and Women's History Month. Sujana is an internal medicine resident physician who has volunteered at Crisis Text Line for the past 8 years.
In her own words:
“Empathy is at the core of my soul, and volunteering for this organization has made me step outside my comfort zone and help those in their most hardest moments. The skills I have learned on the platform have prepared me for the rigors of being a doctor but also how to navigate life.”
Congratulations, Sujana — we're grateful for the work you do and the support you provide to texters in their moments of need.
