Hi all! We wanted to share information about a new Community feature: Muting Posts! 📣
Staying in the loop is great, until your inbox starts overflowing with updates from a post that’s gotten a little too active. We have a new solution! Introducing Mute Post, a personalized approach to manage your CTL Community notifications.
What is Mute Post?
Mute Post gives you the power to silence individual discussions without turning off notifications across the board. You’ll continue to get alerts on other posts you want to stay in the loop about, just not the one that you’ve muted!
Whether a post has veered off-topic, resolved your question, or just isn’t relevant anymore, you can now step away from the noise without stepping away from the conversation entirely.
🔧 How It Works
You can mute a post in two easy ways:
1) From Email Notifications
Click the “Mute this Post” link at the bottom of any comment notification email.
2) From the Post Menu
Use the “Mute” option in the post’s context menu (⋯). You can also select "Dismiss", which would essentially remove the announcement away from your view after reading it. It won't get deleted, but it will act as if the post were "unpinned" from the discussion board.
Want to jump back in later? Just click “Unmute" or uncheck "Dismissed"
This feature is available now and ready to use! Thank you all for making our Community space safe and supportive. Feel free to drop questions below 😊
