Hello to all of our amazing volunteers! We are Senior Supervisors @Jaid-Alexandra Montgomery and @Shawntrelle Pettiford! If you recognize those names, it’s because we are a part of the Clinical Team that supports you on the platform. We are so excited to join this space with you all!
We want to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month by sending a special thank you from the Clinical Team. There are so many great things to say about all that you do but we wanted to share just a few that stand out.
- We appreciate your consistency and care. You show up before and after work, in between classes. No matter what is happening in your life, you’re here for each and every shift.
- We appreciate the support you give to the texters, your fellow volunteers, and the team. We value and appreciate you for offering a helping hand whenever anyone needs it.
- We appreciate your dedication to the mission and the service. You’ve made the work we do daily OUR mission. Thank you! We couldn’t do this without you.
While these are some reasons to give thanks, we also want to take the opportunity to thank you by sharing some exciting news! We are happy to announce the launch of a brand new space right here in the community called “Ask a Supervisor”. We know you all have lots of questions, and with the fast-paced nature of the Platform, it’s not always easy to really go deep and give you all the best and clearest answers. We hear you!
In an effort to provide you with more spaces to build connections and grow your counseling skills, you will be able to explore further questions such as: what can your Supervisors do to support you during a new policy change, and gain more clinical insight surrounding various general conversation topics. You can expect to engage in regular discussions and occasional Lunch and Learns with the Senior Supervisors in a more casual space.
We hope you’ll join us in chatting about the clinical work we all do every day and give us all the opportunity to get to know each other a little better!
